Q1. What are your opening hours?
A1. The Hope Hub office is open on Wednesdays to facilitate face-to-face appointments between 10:00am and 6:00pm.
The Hope Hub is available to accommodate off-site and telehealth appointments Monday-Friday between 10:00am and 6:00pm.
Q2. Do I need a referral to book an appointment with a Psychologist at The Hope Hub?
A2. No, a referral is not required to book an appointment with a Psychologist at The Hope Hub.
Q3. How do I access a Medicare rebate for counselling appointments?
A3. You can explore your eligibility for accessing a referral through the Medicare 'Better Access Scheme' with a General Practitioner (GP). If eligible, you will be provided with a mental health care plan and a referral letter specifying access to an initial six appointments. Your Psychologist will then write back to your referring GP who will review your eligibility for further sessions. Eligible individuals are able to access up to ten appointments per calendar year (January - December).

Currently, The Hope Hub does not offer a bulk-billing service. Individuals who book with The Hope Hub with a mental health care plan referral will need to pay a gap-fee. You can choose whether you wish to process the medicare rebate yourself, or, The Hope Hub can complete this on your behalf.

The current medicare rebate for a 50+ minute consultation with a Psychologist (with General Registration) is $93.35.
Q4. Do you accept clients who are funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?
A4. The Hope Hub is available to provide psychological services to NDIS clients who are self-managed or plan-managed. The Hope Hub is not registered with the NDIS to provide psychological services to clients who are NDIA managed.
